Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto stated he received a report indicating that the revenue of Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, Danantara Indonesia, surged by approximately 400 percent during its first year of operation.
However, he emphasised that the figures still require verification and auditing.
“I received a report that the income of Danantara has increased by roughly 400 percent. Still, we must audit and verify this,” Subianto said during the launch of 10 books authored by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia on Friday.
According to the President, even if the verified figure falls short of 400 percent, growth of 200 to 300 percent would still reflect a significant increase for a single year.
To date, Danantara Indonesia has yet to publish its consolidated financial report for the 2025 fiscal year, even though state-owned enterprises (SOEs) within its ecosystem have completed their respective financial statements.
Danantara Indonesia Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria previously stated that the fund’s consolidated financial report is targeted for completion within the next one to two months.
According to Oskaria, preparing the report is time-consuming because Danantara must consolidate financial statements from more than 1,000 SOEs, a process that includes eliminating intercompany transactions.
He assured that the financial report published by Danantara will be fully audited by the Supreme Audit Board (BPK).
He noted that the financial statements are currently in the pre-audit phase. Danantara has also engaged financial consultants to structure its accounts, ensuring the consolidated report complies with applicable financial standards.
