Singapore Market Opens Mixed With STI At 5,748 Points

Singapore shares opened slightly lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) slipping 5.84 points or 0.1% to 5,748.33 as of 9:05am.

Market breadth remained positive despite the weaker index, with 95 gainers against 63 decliners. Trading volume stood at 85.38 million shares, with total value reaching S$145.33 million.

Among the key counters, DBS Group Holdings edged up 0.06% to S$77.05, while YZJ Shipbuilding SGD stood at S$4.72.

OCBC Bank traded at S$31.24 and UOB at S$42.25, while Keppel was at S$11.19. Genting Singapore stood at S$0.635 and UOL at S$10.03.

In the derivatives market, total volume reached 12.01 thousand contracts.

The FTSE China A50 Index Futures for August 2026 stood at 14,939 points as of 8:50am, while Nikkei 225 Index Futures for September 2026 traded at 67,045 points.

Meanwhile, SGX FTSE Taiwan Index Futures for August 2026 stood at 3,931.25 points, while MSCI Singapore Index Futures for August 2026 was at 542.15 points.

The 10-Year Mini JGB Futures for September 2026 traded at 126.640.
