Tomei Consolidated Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Tomei Services Sdn Bhd, has entered into a joint venture agreement with TY Net Sdn Bhd to collaborate in the pawnbroking business carried out by the indirect subsidiaries of JP United Sdn Bhd (JPU).
Tomei Services entered into the agreement with TY Net on Aug 13, 2026, as part of a proposed joint venture that will see TY Net participate in JPU as a joint venturer.
JPU is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tomei Services, making it an indirect subsidiary of Tomei Consolidated.
Under the proposed joint venture, Tomei Services has agreed to TY Net’s participation in JPU for the purpose of collaborating in and expanding the pawnbroking business conducted by JPU’s indirect subsidiaries.
The company said the proposed joint venture is aimed at combining the business expertise of both parties in pawnbroking operations, while leveraging their respective business networks and customer bases.
It will also allow the parties to tap available financial resources to support the expansion of the pawnbroking business.
Tomei said the collaboration is expected to provide the parties with opportunities to strengthen their capabilities and broaden their reach in the pawnbroking sector.
