Theta Edge Bhd has appointed Dato’ Amrul Hisyam Alias as its new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Datuk Nuraslina Zainal Abidin from the position.
The company said Nuraslina, 51, resigned as Group Managing Director on Aug 14, citing personal commitments.
On the same day, Amrul, 50, was redesignated from Executive Deputy Chairman to Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Amrul holds a degree in Science (Property Management) from the University of Malaya and brings more than two decades of experience in telecommunications infrastructure, property-based network deployment, infrastructure financing and regulated utilities.
He is the founder and Group Executive Chairman of Stealth Group of Companies, a telecommunications infrastructure group with operations in Malaysia.
According to Theta Edge, Amrul has led Stealth’s development from a project-based operator into a vertically integrated telecommunications infrastructure group involved in site acquisition, build-to-suit towers, and the ownership and long-term operation of network facilities across multiple states.
His experience also includes corporate structuring, project financing and capital markets, particularly in asset-heavy infrastructure businesses.
