Indonesia Continues To Be Struck By Earthquake, No Tsunami Warning Issued

A moderate magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck the Flores region of Indonesia at 8.46am today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

MetMalaysia said the earthquake was detected at coordinates 8.4° South and 121.5° East, at a depth of 10 kilometres.

The epicentre was located approximately 302 kilometres northwest of Kupang, Indonesia.

MetMalaysia said there was no tsunami threat to Malaysia following the earthquake.
