Taiwanese biotechnology wellness company UVACO has identified Malaysia as a key overseas market and launchpad for its global expansion, officially commencing operations with the opening of its new office in Bangsar South.
The move positions Malaysia as UVACO’s strategic gateway into Southeast Asia, leveraging the country’s location, growing wellness sector and rising consumer interest in preventive health.
UVACO Global Chief Executive Officer Grace Tseng said its Malaysian operations will combine the biotechnology research and manufacturing capabilities of parent group Grape King Bio with an initial range of health supplements, nutrition products and everyday wellness essentials.
“We look forward to growing steadily in Malaysia and building UVACO into a brand that Malaysian families can trust and welcome into their everyday lives,” she said, adding that Malaysia represents an important milestone in the company’s development and will serve as a platform to support consumers, partners and community engagement.
Meanwhile, UVACO Malaysia General Manager Marco Chen said the local team plans to work with government agencies, industry associations and business partners to establish a platform that is locally rooted while supporting the group’s broader international ambitions.
With Malaysia serving as the launchpad for its wider growth ambitions, UVACO plans to deepen local partnerships while expanding education initiatives, community engagement and access to biotechnology-driven wellness solutions.
