Since returning to the championship in 2021, Zandvoort has become one of F1’s most atmospheric venues, drawing huge crowds to the Dutch coast, largely in support of home favourite Max Verstappen.

The circuit will go out with an added twist this year as it hosts its first Sprint weekend, giving drivers just one practice session to prepare for competitive action.

Zandvoort’s mix of fast corners, steep banking and elevation changes has produced unpredictable racing in recent years, with weather ranging from scorching temperatures to strong winds and heavy rain.

Rain is again forecast to potentially affect the weekend, setting up a potentially dramatic final chapter for the seaside circuit.

The Dutch Grand Prix is also the first race of the second half of the 2026 season, with 12 rounds and more than 300 points still available.

With the championship fight still developing and Zandvoort preparing to close the door on F1, there could hardly be a more fitting way to say goodbye.
