MTT Shipping and Logistics Bhd recorded profit after tax (PAT) of RM160.6 million for the first half of 2026 (1H26), supported by stronger shipping earnings as higher freight income lifted its second-quarter performance.
The group posted cumulative revenue of RM658.7 million for the six-month period.
For the second quarter ended June 30, revenue increased 20.8% quarter-on-quarter to RM360.4 million, while PAT surged 44.5% to RM94.9 million, driven mainly by higher freight income from its shipping segment.
In line with its policy of distributing at least 50% of PAT, MTT Shipping declared its first tax-exempt interim dividend of 3.2 sen per share, amounting to approximately RM80 million.
Looking ahead, MTT Shipping expects the delivery of 12 new container vessels over the next few years to strengthen its position as Malaysia’s leading container liner shipping operator.
