Singapore will enhance its Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) with seven additional language options and a refreshed interface to make the digital form easier for travellers to complete.
The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said the enhancements will increase the number of language options available on the SGAC from the current 12 to 19. It did not disclose the seven new languages.
The upgraded SGAC will also feature a redesigned interface aimed at providing smoother navigation and a more user-friendly experience for travellers entering Singapore.
Another key improvement is a passport scan autofill function, which will allow travellers to submit their details more quickly by automatically populating relevant information from their passport.
The enhancements will be available through both the MyICA mobile application and ICA’s official website.
Travellers will be able to preview the new features on the ICA website from Aug 26, ahead of their wider availability.
ICA also reminded travellers that submitting the SGAC through its official channels is free of charge, cautioning travellers to use the authority’s official platforms when completing the electronic arrival card.
The SGAC is mandatory for travellers entering Singapore, with exemptions including those transiting through the country without clearing immigration and Singapore residents travelling through the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints.
The latest upgrades are part of Singapore’s efforts to streamline immigration procedures and make the arrival process more convenient for international travellers.
