DKSH Chairman Sam Oh Resigns For Personal Reasons

DKSH Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd chairman Oh Sae Ung, also known as Sam Oh, has resigned from his position as non-independent non-executive chairman, effective Aug 21, 2026.

The group said Oh, 60, resigned for personal reasons. Oh was appointed to the board as a non-independent non-executive director on July 5, 2024, before being redesignated as chairman on Nov 21, 2024. He was also appointed a member of the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of California, San Diego.

Oh began his career in the United States in 1990 with Fujitsu Systems of America. He subsequently held various senior positions at Tesco Plc, including at Tesco Lotus in Thailand, between 1998 and 2004.

He returned to Fujitsu Systems of America in 2004 as vice president of business development, before taking on senior technology and digital leadership roles at Fresh & Easy Neighbourhood Market Inc, Fresh & Easy LLC and Dairy Farm International in the US and Hong Kong.

From 2018 to 2021, Oh was senior vice president and head of global IT at Global Logistic Properties in Hong Kong, where he led digital transformation and digital business initiatives.

He currently serves as chief information officer, head of e-commerce and a member of the executive committee of DKSH Holding Ltd in Switzerland.

Oh also sits on the board of aCommerce Group Public Company Ltd in Thailand, a position he has held since August 2023.

During his tenure at DKSH, Oh brought around three decades of experience in business development, e-commerce, information technology and digital transformation across Asia and the US.
