Frasers Property Ltd and Tan & Tan Developments Bhd have formed a joint venture (JV) to develop PJ Quarter, a 5.15ha mixed-use precinct in Section 13, Petaling Jaya, aimed at supporting the area’s ongoing urban rejuvenation.
The development, roughly the size of seven football fields, will be undertaken in two phases, with both parties holding equal stakes in the JV. The first phase will comprise residential components, retail space and a park, with the homes targeted for launch next year.
PJ Quarter is planned as a pedestrian-friendly lifestyle destination, with a low-rise open-air retail component integrated with landscaped areas, community spaces and green links.
Frasers Property Singapore CEO Soon Su Lin said the project marks the group’s first collaboration with Tan & Tan and is expected to play a key role in the rejuvenation of Section 13.
Tan & Tan CEO Tan Yee Seng said the development will tap into government-led efforts to transform the area into a more liveable and vibrant hub, supported by improved pedestrian infrastructure and green connectivity.
The site sits at the intersection of Jalan Kemajuan and Jalan Profesor Diraja Ungku Aziz, with access to the Federal Highway and SPRINT Expressway, as well as nearby MRT and LRT stations.
