Pesona Metro Holdings Bhd recorded a 57% year-on-year surge in profit after tax attributable to owners of the parent (PATAMI) to RM26.4 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026 (1H26), supported by stronger property development earnings, improved construction margins and steady concession income.
Revenue for 1H26 also climbed 39% to RM447.9 million from RM321.7 million a year earlier, reflecting stronger contributions across the group’s key businesses.
For the second quarter, Pesona Metro posted its highest-ever quarterly revenue of RM255.6 million, up 46% from RM174.8 million, while PATAMI rose 47% to RM13.7 million from RM9.3 million.
Property development was the standout performer, with quarterly revenue rising 34% to RM106.6 million, driven by higher project completion and sales at subsidiary Gaya Kuasa Sdn Bhd. Construction remained the largest contributor at RM142.9 million.
Managing Director Wie Hock Beng said the stronger property development performance and growing scale of Gaya Kuasa provided confidence heading into 2H26.
Pesona Metro’s construction order book now stands at RM2.2 billion across eight ongoing projects, following the addition of a RM247.5 million private hospital project in Setia Alam in July.
The group expects its construction pipeline, property developments including REN Residensi, and stable concession income from its UniMAP student hostel concession through 2036 to support continued growth.
