Bursa Malaysia and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) will be closed on Tuesday, Aug 25, 2026 in conjunction with the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad, with trading scheduled to resume on Wednesday, Aug 26.
Bursa Malaysia’s official calendar lists Aug 25 as a market holiday, and the trading holiday schedule also confirms that Malaysia and Indonesia will be closed on that day.
The closure will give investors across both markets a one-day trading break before normal operations resume on Wednesday. The holiday, also known as Maulidur Rasul in Malaysia, falls on Tuesday this year.
Both markets are expected to return to regular trading on Wednesday, 26 August, ahead of Malaysia’s National Day market closure on Monday, 31 August.
