KATSEYE Makes Their Billboard 200 Debut At No. 1 With ‘WILD’

KATSEYE has scored its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Their latest album, WILD debuts at the top of the US chart with 170,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Aug 20.

The result gives the group its second top 10 album, following Beautiful Chaos, which reached No. 4 in 2025. It also marks KATSEYE’s biggest week to date for both total units and album sales.

Of WILD’s 170,000 units, 145,000 came from album sales. Streaming accounted for 24,500 units, while track-equivalent sales made up about 500. The album generated 26.95 million on-demand official streams during the week.

The result also places KATSEYE among a small group of all-woman acts to top the Billboard 200 this decade. WILD is the fourth No. 1 album by an all-woman group since 2020, following releases from TWICE, NewJeans and BLACKPINK.

Physical sales played a major role in the album’s opening. WILD was released in more than 30 CD and vinyl variants, with editions featuring collectable items and, in some cases, bonus tracks.

KATSEYE had already reached the Billboard Hot 100 before WILD arrived. “Pinky Up” peaked at No. 28 in April, while “Animal” reached No. 24 earlier this month.
