Khee San Berhad executive chairman Dato’ Sri Ngu Tieng Ung has resigned from his position with effect from 24 August 2026, citing personal reasons.
Incidentally, the group is also being investigated by MACC over AMLA allegation with six back accounts being frozen.
Ngu, 59, was appointed executive chairman of Khee San on 24 September 2024. He holds an honours degree in accountancy from the United Kingdom and is a member of the Association of International Accountants.
According to the company’s profile, Ngu has more than three decades of experience as an accountant, entrepreneur and venture capitalist, with expertise spanning corporate finance, business consultancy, investment banking, mezzanine financing and venture capital.
His business interests have extended beyond Malaysia, with investments across countries and regions including Mongolia, Kazakhstan, the Middle East, China, Hong Kong, Indochina, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Indonesia.
His investment interests cover sectors including oil and gas, mineralisation, commodities and non-ferrous metals, technology, manufacturing, financial services, plantations, real estate development, food and consumer goods.
Ngu is also the largest shareholder of Khee San Berhad and a substantial shareholder of Ta Win Holdings Berhad Group. He is currently an executive director of Ta Win Holdings Berhad Cinoup.
Following his resignation, Ngu has direct interest in 120,000 Khee San shares, representing 0.01%, and indirect interest in 333.661 million shares, equivalent to 27.18%.
