Petronas Dagangan Posts 45% Jump In 2QFY26 PAT To RM394 Million

Petronas Dagangan reported a revenue of RM27.2 billion an increased by RM9,083.2 million or 50% for 1HFY26 mainly contributed by higher average selling prices of 44%, coupled with higher sales volume by 4%.

The Group recorded a PBT of RM920.3 million, an increase of RM137.3 million or 18% on the back of higher gross profit from all segments and other income, offset by higher expenditure. While profit after tax rose to RM685 million from RM573 million in 1HFY25.

Retail segment revenue increased by RM5,722.1 million or 60%, driven by improved average selling prices of 49%,
coupled with a 7% increase in sales volume mainly from Mogas and Diesel. PBT recorded for the period was RM360.7 million, increased by RM7.3 million or 2% against the corresponding period last year. The increase was mainly contributed by higher gross profit arising from higher sales volume across the period, partially negated by higher expenditure.

For the second quarter revenue increased by RM7 billion to RM16 billion or 77%, on the back of higher average selling prices by 75%, coupled with a 1% increase in sales volume.

The Group recorded a PBT of RM531.1 million, an increase of RM157.3 million or 42% mainly driven by higher gross profit from the Commercial segment, partially offset by lower margins from the Retail segment coupled with higher expenditure. Profit after tax was at RM394 million rising from RM272 million in the same period last year.

Retail segment revenue increased by RM4,103.0 million or 85% arising from higher average selling prices by 73% and sales volume of 7%. PBT recorded for the quarter was RM36.2 million, a decrease of RM125.7 million or 78% against the corresponding quarter last year. This was mainly due to lower gross profit arising from higher product costs, coupled with higher
expenditure.
