EG Industries Bhd ended FY26 on a strong note after full-year core profit climbed 24.4% to a record RM102.4 million, driven by higher-margin technology products and improved manufacturing efficiencies.
For the financial year ended June 30, 2026, the advanced electronics manufacturing and technology solutions provider also achieved record revenue of RM1.43 billion, up 31.3% from RM1.09 billion a year earlier.
The stronger profitability was supported by increased contributions from 800G optical modules and wireless broadband-related products, alongside improved production yields, manufacturing efficiencies and tighter cost management.
EG Industries also closed the year with solid fourth-quarter momentum, with core profit rising 24.6% year-on-year to RM30.4 million. Revenue surged 283.4% to RM402.1 million from RM104.9 million, driven by stronger contributions from 5G optical modules, wireless broadband-related products and network switches.
Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Alex Kang Pang Kiang said the results reflected the group’s continued shift towards higher-value technology products and improvements in the quality and profitability of its growth.
Looking ahead, EG Industries is expanding capacity at its Batu Kawan facility for 800G and next-generation 1.6T optical modules following a US$241.6 million purchase order from an existing US-based customer.
The group has also entered into a letter of intent with another US-based global networking solutions provider for high-performance open network switches, with an indicative value of approximately US$100 million.
EG Industries remains cautiously optimistic about FY2027, supported by secured orders, the ramp-up of higher-margin technology products and ongoing capacity expansion in Malaysia and Thailand.
