Meta Bright Group Bhd delivered stronger full-year profitability in FY26, with profit after tax (PAT) rising 19.6% year-on-year to RM19.1 million, despite fourth-quarter PAT falling 19% to RM5.7 million from RM7.1 million a year earlier. Full-year revenue increased 14.7% to RM275.4 million.
Profit attributable to shareholders for FY26 grew 30.4% to RM16.1 million from RM12.3 million, reflecting improved earnings across the diversified group.
In 4QFY26, revenue rose 14.1% to RM74.17 million from RM65 million a year earlier, even as quarterly profitability softened.
Building materials remained the biggest quarterly revenue contributor at RM55.32 million, supported by higher customer orders, while property development revenue more than doubled to RM9.12 million on project completion and higher progressive billings.
Hospitality revenue increased to RM6.46 million, while investment properties contributed RM2.35 million, boosted by a one-off lease payment. Energy-related revenue also rose to RM785,000 on increased completion and commissioning of solar, energy-efficiency and electric vehicle charging projects.
For the full year, building materials generated RM205.6 million, or about 75% of group revenue, while property development revenue climbed to RM32.3 million and hospitality contributed RM28.8 million.
Meta Bright also generated RM27.3 million in net operating cash flow, up 87.9% year-on-year, with cash and cash equivalents reaching RM30.5 million at end-June.
Looking ahead, the group is expanding its energy capabilities through TTOP Industrial & Engineering and Bumidotearth, strengthening its presence in EPCC, electrical engineering and energy-efficiency solutions.
