Paragon Globe Bhd kicked off its financial year ended June 30, 2026 (FY27), on a strong footing, with profit attributable to shareholders (PATAMI) surging 56.4% year-on-year to RM24.94 million in the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Revenue for the new financial year also rose 69.8% to RM94.46 million from RM55.65 million a year earlier, supported mainly by its core property development activities.
The property development segment remained the key earnings driver, with revenue climbing 67.6% to RM93.25 million, reflecting contributions from land sales in Tanjung Kupang, detached factories in Pekan Nanas and serviced apartments in Johor Bahru.
Paragon Globe also generated RM136.79 million in net operating cash flow during the quarter, reversing an outflow of RM3.53 million a year earlier. Cash and bank balances stood at RM185.86 million as at end-June.
During the quarter, the group entered into a conditional agreement to dispose of 65.28 acres in Tanjung Kupang for RM398.11 million to DayOne Data Centers Malaysia III Sdn Bhd, which is expected to provide additional financial flexibility upon completion.
Executive Chairman Datuk Seri Edwin Tan Pei Seng said the first-quarter performance reflected the contribution from property development and strategic land sales, while positioning the group to tap demand arising from the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and digital infrastructure growth in Johor.
Looking ahead, he shared that Paragon Globe will focus on project execution, completing its corporate exercises and managing capital deployment as infrastructure investment and cross-border activity continue to support property demand in Johor.
