Golden Melody Award-winning singer-songwriter SHI SHI, also known as Sun Sheng Xi, will bring her acclaimed “The Taste Of…” world tour to Malaysia this December, marking her first solo concert in the country since making her debut.
The concert will take place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, Dec 6, 2026, at 6pm, offering Malaysian fans an intimate showcase spanning the singer’s pop, R&B, Neo-Soul, jazz, electronic and rock influences.
Inspired by SHI SHI’s conceptual EP of the same name, “The Taste Of…” explores the different “flavours” of life — from sweetness and bitterness to nostalgia and the emotional intensity associated with growing up.
The tour kicked off in Guangzhou in July and is set to make stops in Seoul and Taipei before arriving in Kuala Lumpur.
For SHI SHI, the Malaysian leg represents a significant milestone, being her first full-fledged solo concert in the country.
The singer has built a reputation for her distinctive vocal style and willingness to experiment across genres. Her self-produced album BOOMERANG earned her the Best Mandarin Female Singer award at the 35th Golden Melody Awards, one of the Mandarin music industry’s most prominent accolades.
Fans attending the Kuala Lumpur concert can expect a setlist featuring some of SHI SHI’s best-known songs, including soundtrack hits “Remembered” and “Someday or One Day” from the popular Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day.
Other fan favourites expected to feature include “Constant Temperature” and “He Isn’t Worth It”.
The tour also showcases the international influences shaping her recent music, including the Korean-language title track “Tteokbokki”, which draws inspiration from food, youth and memories of friendship.
Rather than simply recreating her recorded material on stage, the Kuala Lumpur performance is being designed specifically for the more intimate live-house environment of Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
Organisers said audiences can expect specially crafted stage visuals and newly reimagined arrangements of familiar songs, alongside surprises prepared specifically for Malaysian fans.
The live-house format is intended to bring SHI SHI closer to the audience while reflecting the personal and emotional themes behind “The Taste Of…”.
Tickets for SHI SHI’s “The Taste Of…” Kuala Lumpur concert will go on sale on Sept 7, 2026, at 2pm through BookMyShow Malaysia.
Selected ticket categories will also come with additional fan benefits, including opportunities to take a photograph with SHI SHI and receive a limited-edition signed photocard.
Eligible ticket holders will also be able to participate in a post-concert album signing session, adding a more personal element to SHI SHI’s first solo Malaysian show.
With the Kuala Lumpur stop, SHI SHI will bring a tour built around the emotional “flavours” of life to Malaysian audiences for the first time, combining her award-winning songwriting with an intimate live performance designed specifically for the venue.
