Alam Maritim Resources Berhad (AMRB) has appointed Dato’ Aloysius Albert Michael as Senior Strategic Adviser to the group, effective Sept 3, 2026.
The group said Aloysius will advise and assist its board, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, as well as management, across a range of strategic and operational matters.
His responsibilities will cover business strategy, corporate development, operational performance, business expansion, strategic partnerships and other strategic initiatives undertaken by the group.
Aloysius is currently chief executive officer of Subsea Worldwide Solutions Sdn Bhd (SWS), a subsidiary of Alam Maritim, and brings more than 56 years of experience in the underwater services industry serving the oil and gas sector.
His career includes extensive regional and international experience spanning Asia, the Middle East, Africa and other markets.
He has also been involved in developing and establishing subsea and underwater services businesses, including SWS.
Aloysius is also a substantial shareholder of Alam Maritim.
The company said his extensive industry experience and strategic insights are expected to contribute towards strengthening the group’s strategic direction and supporting its longer-term growth ambitions.
The appointment comes as Alam Maritim continues to position its operations within the offshore and subsea services segment, with the veteran industry executive set to provide strategic guidance to both the board and senior management.
