Hon Hai Precision Industry, the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer and a key server supplier to Nvidia, reported a 52% year-on-year increase in August sales as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continued to strengthen.
Revenue reached a record NT$921.8 billion ($29.15 billion) last month, marking the second consecutive month in which sales exceeded NT$900 billion. The increase reflects sustained spending on AI servers as technology companies expand their data-centre capacity.
The strong August performance also comes as Hon Hai enters the seasonal peak for information and communications technology products, providing an additional boost to its operations. The company said visibility for the third quarter had improved and expected performance to exceed market expectations.
Bloomberg reported that the acceleration in sales was closely linked to continued momentum in AI server demand, highlighting the growing importance of AI infrastructure to Hon Hai’s business.
Hon Hai, also known as Foxconn, has benefited from its role in assembling servers used for AI computing. The company, however, cautioned that geopolitical and economic volatility remained a risk to its outlook.
The latest figures underline the strength of AI-related investment, even as manufacturers continue to navigate broader uncertainty across global markets.
