TM One is stepping up its cybersecurity push with the launch of TM CYDEC, a new cyber defence centre designed to cut blind spots and accelerate threat response for enterprises and government agencies.
Located at TM’s Cyberjaya Campus, TM CYDEC operates on a Cyber Fusion model that brings together connectivity, cloud and cybersecurity capabilities, giving organisations an integrated view across networks, cloud platforms, applications and wider digital infrastructure.
The centre is aimed at helping organisations detect cyber threats, reduce vulnerabilities and respond faster, as increasingly complex digital environments make traditional, siloed security approaches less effective.
TM One said TM CYDEC provides 24/7 monitoring and threat intelligence by correlating telemetry across digital systems, managed services and cybersecurity operations. The approach is intended to reduce fragmentation and blind spots while enabling faster and more precise decision-making.
The launch also comes as businesses and public-sector organisations accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across operations, customer services and internal processes.
TM CYDEC is designed to address emerging AI-related risks including data exposure, governance, model integrity and regulatory compliance.
TM One Executive Vice-President Shanti Jusnita Johari said effective cybersecurity increasingly depends on organisations having a clear understanding of their entire digital ecosystem rather than responding to security alerts in isolation.
“Today’s organisations operate across cloud platforms, connected networks, services and critical infrastructure. Protecting them requires these environments to be understood as one, not defended in isolation.
“TM CYDEC has been built around this reality, enabling organisations to make faster decisions, respond with greater precision and build resilience into the foundation of their digital operations,” she said.
Being based in Malaysia, the centre also provides local governance, escalation and control for sensitive environments.
TM One said its multi-security-domain capabilities and Malaysian expertise offer organisations greater assurance over regulatory compliance, including requirements under the Cyber Security Act 2024, Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and Malaysia’s wider digital governance framework.
TM CYDEC has received several internationally recognised certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management, ISO 22301 for business continuity management, ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 37001 for anti-bribery management.
TM One said its presence across connectivity, cloud, data centres, cybersecurity and managed digital services allows the centre to draw intelligence from beyond traditional security operations.
The broader view is intended to strengthen protection for the systems, services and infrastructure underpinning Malaysia’s digital economy, while giving enterprises and government agencies a more coordinated approach to cyber resilience.
