KATSEYE changes its hair almost as often as it changes its stage looks. Now, the haircare brand working with the group is making its Southeast Asian debut.
Matrix Professional has launched in Malaysia with KATSEYE as its global ambassadors. The launch marks the brand’s expansion into Southeast Asia and brings four of its haircare lines to the local market.
The six members of KATSEYE — Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan and Yoonchae — front Matrix’s “Matrix Moves” campaign. The campaign connects the group’s choreography with hair movement, referring to the concept as “hairography”.
The partnership also reflects the range of hair textures and styling choices seen across the group. For the Malaysian launch, four members have shared their picks from the brand’s new lineup.
Daniela’s choice is the Food For Soft Multi-Use Hair Oil Serum. It contains avocado oil and hyaluronic acid and is designed to add moisture, smoothness and shine. It also offers heat protection up to 450°F.
Yoonchae has selected the Miracle Creator Multi-Tasking Leave-In Treatment, a leave-in spray made for different hair types and textures. It is intended to help with detangling, frizz, heat protection and styling.
Megan’s pick is the Instacure Build-A-Bond Billion Bond Oil, which targets damaged hair. Its formula combines citric acid, amino acids and squalane. It also provides heat protection up to 230°C.
Lara has chosen the Mega Sleek 96H Anti-Frizz Topcoat. The heat-activated serum uses oleic acid and jojoba oil and is designed to control frizz for up to 96 hours, including in humidity of up to 97 per cent.
As reported by Harper’s Bazaar, the four product lines being introduced in Malaysia are Food For Soft, Miracle Creator, Instacure Build-A-Bond and Mega Sleek.
Manon and Sophia’s product selections are not yet part of the Malaysian launch.
The range will be available at selected Watsons stores and through Matrix Professional’s official Shopee store. The brand is also expected to launch on TikTok Shop in Malaysia in October.
