Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is leading a key Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council (MTPMA63) meeting in Kota Kinabalu on Sept 11, before visiting residents affected by the recent Kampung Numbak fire.
The MTPMA63 meeting, held at the Sabah International Convention Centre, forms a major part of Anwar’s engagements in Sabah, with Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in attendance.
Following the meeting, Anwar will perform Friday prayers with the local community at Masjid Jamek Kampung Likas.
He is then scheduled to visit the temporary evacuation centre at Damai Multipurpose Hall at 1.50pm to check on the welfare and living conditions of Kampung Numbak residents displaced by the Aug 30 blaze.
The fire destroyed about 200 stilt houses and left three people dead.
