Bursa Malaysia rebounded on Sept 14, with the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) snapping a four-day losing streak and closing at its intraday high as bargain hunting emerged following recent market weakness.
At 5pm, the FBM KLCI gained 11.27 points, or 0.66% higher, to 1,698.01 from its Sept 11’s closing of 1,686.74, after trading between 1,682.49 and 1,698.01 during the session.
Broader indices were mixed. The FBM Emas rose 49.71 points to 12,559.91, while the F4GBM gained 4.56 points to 1,018.79. The FBM Shariah advanced 15.96 points to 12,412.77.
The FBM 70, however, slipped 38.55 points to 17,690.09.
Among the most actively traded counters, Zetrix AI Bhd topped the list with 300.67 million shares changing hands, easing half a sen to 24.5 sen after trading between 24 sen and 26.5 sen.
Top Glove Corporation Bhd gained three sen to 83 sen on 77.34 million shares, while JAKS Resources Bhd added one sen to 13.5 sen with 65.34 million shares traded.
AHB Holdings Bhd rose one sen to 6.5 sen on 64.27 million shares, while Ni Hsin Group Bhd climbed 1.5 sen to 29 sen, with 41.42 million shares transacted.
Total market turnover eased to 3.18 billion units worth RM2.79 billion compared to 3.57 billion units valued at RM3.28 billion on Sept 11.
