Silver Ridge Holdings Bhd announced the passing of its independent non-executive director Dr Ong Chin Yee on Sept 17, 2026.
Dr Ong, 44, was a geotechnical specialist with more than 10 years of experience in the design and construction of building foundations.
The company said its board and management extended their condolences to Dr Ong’s family.
Silver Ridge added that, on an interim basis, the board will assume Dr Ong’s roles and responsibilities until a suitable permanent replacement is identified.
A further announcement will be made once the appointment process is completed.
The company said Dr Ong had no family relationship with any director or major shareholder of Silver Ridge, no conflict of interest with the group and no interest in the securities of the company or its subsidiaries.
