Sapura Industrial Bhd recorded a net profit of RM3.3 million for the second quarter of its financial year ending 2027 (2QFY2027), down from RM3.5 million in the corresponding quarter last year, as lower demand from key original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) weighed on sales.
The group’s quarterly revenue declined 7% year-on-year to RM65 million from RM69.9 million, mainly due to lower sales volumes from its major OEM customers.
Despite the softer revenue, Sapura Industrial remained profitable during the quarter.
For the first six months of FY2027, the group recorded revenue of RM121.7 million, a decline of 8.9% from RM133.6 million in the corresponding period of FY2026.
Cumulative net profit fell to RM4.3 million from RM4.7 million previously, reflecting the impact of weaker demand across its OEM customer base.
The results indicate that subdued sales volumes continued to affect the group’s financial performance during the first half of FY2027.
