Daredevil’s return to Disney+ is coming to an end.
Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again, starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, will conclude with its upcoming third season. Variety confirmed the news, with Season 3 already wrapped and now in post-production. It is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2027.
The final season also marks a change behind the scenes. Co-creator and showrunner Dario Scardapane has exited the series as production moves toward completion.
Cox first played the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante in Netflix’s Daredevil, which ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. The series became the starting point for Netflix’s street-level Marvel shows, leading to Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the crossover miniseries The Defenders.
Born Again brought the character back in 2025, with several familiar faces returning. Vincent D’Onofrio reprised his role as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, while Deborah Ann Woll returned as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.
The revival has also been steadily bringing back characters from the wider Netflix-era Marvel lineup. Season 2 featured Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, while Mike Colter appeared as Luke Cage in the finale.
Season 3 is set to push that crossover further. Photos taken during production showed Ritter and Colter alongside Finn Jones, who is expected to return as Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist.
The story is also heading into a major shift for its central characters. Fisk has lost his position as mayor of New York City, while Daredevil is in jail after his identity was exposed at the end of Season 2.
With production complete, Daredevil: Born Again now has one final season ahead. Disney+ has not announced an exact premiere date beyond 2027.
