It is finally getting close.
The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026 is just eight days away, which means it is probably time to start figuring out how you are actually getting to Sepang International Circuit.
Whether you are driving down, taking a shuttle or relying on a taxi or e-hailing service, there are several options available for the race weekend from Oct 2 to Oct 4.
Here is what you need to know before heading to SIC.
Driving To Sepang International Circuit
If you are driving, take note that parking at SIC is limited and all cars entering the venue must have a valid parking pass.
Cars without a parking pass will not be permitted in the vicinity of the circuit.
For those who have purchased parking passes, collection will be at Mitsui Outlet Park. The organisers have also advised spectators to check the instructions sent by email before heading to the venue.
And yes, get there early. With thousands of fans expected to make their way to Sepang, planning around peak traffic could save you from starting your F1 weekend stuck in traffic.
Take The Shuttle
If you do not want to drive all the way to SIC, shuttle services will operate from several locations during the race weekend.
The four designated shuttle locations are:
Mitsui Outlet Park
Oct 2 to Oct 4, 7am to midnight

KLIA Terminal 2
Oct 2 to Oct 4, 7am to midnight

KLIA Long-Term Car Park
Oct 2 to Oct 4, 7am to midnight

Bandar Baru Enstek, Persiaran Millenia 2
Oct 2 to Oct 4, 7am to midnight
Parking available
Once you are inside the circuit, internal shuttle buses will also operate throughout the race weekend during circuit opening hours.
The organisers say these buses will run frequently to connect different areas of SIC, including the Welcome Centre, Main Grandstand, Paddock and Pit Building, South Paddock and other spectator areas.
Taking A Taxi Or E-Hailing?
For those who would rather leave the driving to someone else, taxis and e-hailing services are also an option.
Give your driver the following address:
Sepang International Circuit, Jalan Pekeliling, 64150 Sepang, Selangor.
Drop-off will be at the main circuit entrance, after which spectators can follow the signs and instructions to their designated gate.
When it is time to leave, taxis will be available from the designated taxi rank.
One More Thing Before You Go
Whatever option you choose, the main takeaway is pretty simple: plan your journey early.
The organisers have specifically advised spectators to arrive early to avoid peak traffic, while those driving should make sure they have their parking passes before setting off.
F1 weekends are already hectic enough without adding a last-minute transport problem to the list.
