The Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) has appointed Sridharan Nair to its Board of Directors, bringing more than 36 years of audit, governance and business advisory experience across Malaysia, Asia Pacific and the United Kingdom.
Sridharan, who was most recently Chairman of PwC Asia Pacific, spent 32 years with the professional services firm and previously served as Asia Pacific Vice Chairman of Markets, Territory Senior Partner of PwC Malaysia and Vietnam and Managing Partner of PwC Malaysia.
He also served on the Board of the Financial Reporting Foundation of Malaysia for six years and has advised listed companies, financial institutions and multinational organisations on audit, governance, risk management and strategic matters.
ICDM Chairman Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar said his regional and international experience would strengthen the institute’s work in promoting higher standards of board leadership in Malaysia.

His experience leading PwC Asia Pacific and working with boards, regulators and business leaders from both an external and internal leadership role will strengthen ICDM’s initiatives and support for directors as we continue to promote higher standards of board leadership in Malaysia,” she said.
