IOI Properties Group Bhd director Datuk Lee Yeow Seng has acquired 10.02 million shares in the company through an open-market transaction valued at approximately RM35 million.
He is the Group Chief Executive Officer of IOI Properties Group and was appointed to the Board of IOIPG on 25 February 2013 as Executive Director, and subsequently held the position of Chief Executive Officer from 8 January 2014 until 14 April 2020. On 15 April 2020, Dato’ Lee was appointed to Executive Vice Chairman and on 1 July 2023, he resumed the position of Group Chief Executive Officer.
In a filing, IOI Properties said Lee purchased 10,015,100 shares on Sept 24 at RM3.49 per share.
Following the acquisition, his direct shareholding increased to 192.55 million shares, representing 3.497% of the company’s issued voting shares.
Lee also holds a deemed interest in 3.62 billion shares, equivalent to 65.676%, through Vertical Capacity Sdn Bhd and the shareholding of his spouse, Datin Yeo Bee Yin.
His combined direct and deemed interest stands at approximately 69.17% of IOI Properties, based on the company’s 5.51 billion voting shares as at Sept 24, 2026.
IOI Properties share is trading at 3.46 down 1% today and 12.8% from a month ago.
