Malaysia will open 24 additional MyKad printing centres nationwide on September 28, 2026, expanding access to the new-generation identity card under the second phase of the rollout.
The new centres, operated by the National Registration Department (JPN), will cover 13 locations across the country, including Kedah, Sabah, Perak, Selangor, Putrajaya, Melaka, Kelantan, Terengganu, Johor, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak.
The expansion follows the first phase of the MyKad Generasi Baharu programme and is aimed at providing more locations for Malaysians to access printing services for the updated identity card.
Among the centres opening in the latest phase are JPN offices in Kulim, Taiping, Manjung, Klang, Jasin, Machang, Gua Musang, Besut, Kota Tinggi, Kluang, Batu Pahat, Labis, Temerloh and Raub. Sabah will have additional centres in Papar, Sipitang and Kota Marudu, while Sarawak will add facilities in Sri Aman, Sarikei, Kapit and Bintulu.
A dedicated printing facility at the JPN headquarters’ Bas MEKAR in Putrajaya will also be included in the second phase.
All 24 centres are scheduled to begin operations on Sep. 28, marking the latest expansion of the new-generation MyKad printing network. Members of the public should check JPN’s latest guidance on available services and requirements before visiting a centre.
