No thunderstorms are expected in the Klang Valley, while parts of Johor, Sarawak and Sabah are under a thunderstorm warning, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
The warning, issued at 1:25 pm on Sunday, covers parts of Johor including Kota Tinggi, Kulai, Johor Bahru, Kluang, Mersing and Pontian.
In Sarawak, thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in Kapit, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang, Samarahan, Serian and Kuching.
The affected areas in Miri include Marudi and Telang Usan.
In Sabah, the warning covers the West Coast and parts of the Interior, including Membakut, Keningau, Tambunan, Pensiangan, Sook, Tenom and Sipitang, as well as Kota Marudu in Kudat.
MetMalaysia said the warning was in effect until 4 pm on Sunday, Sep 27.
The alert covers thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds, which may lead to temporarily hazardous conditions in the affected areas.
