Poh Kong Holdings Bhd posted stronger fourth-quarter and full-year results for the financial year ended July 31, 2026, supported by higher gold prices which lifted revenue and operating profitability.
For the fourth quarter, the jewellery retailer recorded revenue of RM378.36 million, up from RM365.50 million in the corresponding quarter a year earlier.
Poh Kong said the increase was mainly driven by the surge in gold prices during the quarter.
Profit after tax rose to RM36.20 million from RM22.68 million previously, with the group attributing the improvement to the overall uptrend in gold prices, which boosted operating profit.
For the full financial year, Poh Kong recorded revenue of RM1.9 billion, compared with RM1.6 billion in FY2025.
Full-year profit after tax increased to RM193 million from RM121 million a year earlier, reflecting the stronger contribution from the higher gold-price environment.
Following the improved performance, Poh Kong’s board recommended a final single-tier dividend of 5.00 sen per ordinary share for FY2026.
This compares with a final single-tier dividend of 3.00 sen per share for the previous financial year.
