Most states are expected to experience heavy downpours, thunderstorms and strong winds this evening, with a warning covering much of Peninsular Malaysia, as well as parts of Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued the warning at 6:35 pm on Wednesday, covering Perlis, parts of Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and parts of Johor.
In East Malaysia, the warning covers several areas in Sarawak and Sabah, as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan.
The affected areas are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds until 9 pm.
In Johor, the warning applies to Segamat, Batu Pahat, Muar and Tangkak, while in Pahang it covers Cameron Highlands, Jerantut, Kuantan, Maran, Temerloh, Bentong, Bera and Lipis.
The warning also includes several districts in Kedah, Perak, Kelantan and Terengganu.
