Sunway Healthcare Holdings Bhd (SHH) and Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (PjH) have extended the term of their heads of agreement for a proposed joint venture to develop Sunway Medical Centre Putrajaya until Oct 31, 2026.
SHH said the parties entered into a third supplemental heads of agreement on Sept 30 to allow additional time to finalise the definitive agreements and secure the necessary approvals.
The proposed joint venture involves the construction and lease of a multi-specialty tertiary private hospital in Precinct 7, Putrajaya.
The project was previously identified in SHH’s prospectus dated Feb 27, 2026 as one of the group’s planned developments.
The original heads of agreement was signed on April 23, 2025. Its term had earlier been extended to Sept 30, 2026 under a supplemental agreement signed on July 22.
SHH said both parties have made substantial progress towards concluding the definitive agreements for the proposed joint venture.
