Eligible Malaysians can now trade shares listed in the US, Hong Kong and China A-share markets through GOfinance in TNG eWallet following a partnership between TNG Digital and Webull Malaysia.
Users can open a Webull Malaysia trading account digitally through GOfinance and fund it directly from their TNG eWallet balance, subject to eligibility and account approval.
The service also gives investors access to market information, educational resources and charting tools, while eligible US stock investors can access 24-hour weekday trading outside regular US market hours.
Kenneth Chan, Chief Executive Officer at Webull Malaysia, said the partnership was intended to make global markets more accessible to first-time investors.
“For too long, global markets have been out of reach for too many first-time investors. Webull breaks down these barriers, and through this partnership, GOfinance users do not need to even download a new app to access a free learning hub and begin trading US stocks and ETFs with zero commission and no platform fee,” he said.
Desmond Teoh, Chief Financial Services Officer at TNG Digital, said the expansion would give eligible users access to overseas share investing through an app they already use.
“Our aim with GOfinance is to bring more financial choices into an app Malaysians already use and know. With Webull Malaysia, eligible users can take the next step into overseas share investing, starting with digital account opening and funding,” he said.
As of August, GOfinance had 8.5 million users, with more than four million transacting each month.
To mark the launch, eligible users can also receive RM30 worth of Apple fractional shares by depositing at least RM200 into their trading account and maintaining the deposit for 30 days, subject to the campaign’s terms and conditions.
