KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) is introducing tighter fuel monitoring for trucks used by its subcontractors in Selangor through a new arrangement with Caltex Malaysia.
Under the arrangement, subcontractors operating compactor and Armroll/RORO trucks can use Caltex StarCard to purchase fuel at participating Caltex stations.
Each card is linked to the registration number of the vehicle, allowing fuel transactions and spending to be tracked against individual trucks.
The system also allows purchase limits to be set and provides transaction records and account statements, giving KDEBWM and its subcontractors greater visibility over fuel expenditure.
The arrangement is intended to improve accountability and streamline fuel management for vehicles involved in domestic waste collection and public cleansing operations across Selangor.
Caltex Malaysia Country Chairman Leong Jee Wong said the card system would provide greater control, convenience and security for fleet management.
“Our integrated Caltex Starcard framework enables businesses to keep track of expenses easily, run reports, adjust fleet expenses and more via mobile or web. Businesses can also enjoy peace of mind with enhanced security measures, such as PIN code activation and fraudulent activity detection via validation using StarCard Online. This is our commitment to optimise business workflow and maximise efficiency for our B2B Customers,” he said.
