The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning for several areas across Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah until 5pm today.
The warning, issued at 1.35pm, covers parts of Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor.
In Perak, affected districts are Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar and Kinta, while Kuala Krai is affected in Kelantan.
In Terengganu, the warning covers Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Setiu and Kemaman, while affected areas in Pahang are Jerantut, Kuantan, Lipis, Cameron Highlands and Maran.
In Johor, the warning covers Johor Bahru, Pontian, Kulai, Mersing and Segamat.
In Sarawak, affected areas include Sibu, Bintulu, Betong, Sri Aman, Samarahan, Miri, Sarikei, Mukah, Kapit, Limbang and Serian.
Several areas in Sabah are also under the warning, including Beaufort, Membakut, Sipitang, Tambunan, Keningau, Tenom and Kuala Penyu in the Interior, as well as Papar, Penampang, Tuaran, Kota Belud, Kota Kinabalu and Putatan along the West Coast.
MetMalaysia advised the public in affected areas to remain alert to changing weather conditions until the warning expires at 5pm.
