The Malaysian government will suspend all Road Transport Department (JPJ) services offered through the MYEG platform from Oct 5, it announced today.
The suspension covers JPJ-related services provided through MYEG. Motorists will need to use alternative official JPJ channels for transactions affected by the move, subject to the availability of individual services.
The development comes amid heightened scrutiny of Zetrix AI Bhd, formerly known as MyEG Services Bhd, after the Transport Ministry confirmed that more than RM200 million in collections due to the government remained outstanding.
According to reports citing official documents, the outstanding amount involved money collected from customers for vehicle road tax, driving licence renewals and traffic summonses under a three-year JPJ service contract that began in May 2023. The Transport Ministry confirmed the amount outstanding, while a government official was quoted as saying the ministry was considering its next steps, including the need for a more reliable digital payment system and recovery of the sums owed.
The company has yet to be shown in the sources reviewed as disputing the reported amount.
MYEG has been closely associated with online government services for more than two decades, including JPJ-related transactions. The listed company changed its name to Zetrix AI Bhd in July 2025, although the MYEG brand continues to be used for its consumer-facing e-government platform.
Notably the CEO of Zetrix AI has been disposing shares in the company in the last one month after deals to acquire MYEG Philippines hit a snag. The company’s share price has tanked more than 80% over the last month.
