Netflix To Air Some Disney Shows

Netflix is adding a temporary batch of Disney titles to its library, bringing films and series including Ice Age, Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Will Trent to the streaming platform.

According to Reuters, the licensing deal expands Netflix’s access to Disney-owned content as the streamer continues to add titles through third-party agreements.

The first two seasons of Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be available globally on Netflix from October 4 for three months. The deal also covers all five existing Ice Age films, which will stream globally for three months ahead of the theatrical release of Ice Age: Boiling Point early next year.

A selection of Disney and Pixar films will follow in early 2027. The titles include Soul, Elio and Raya and the Last Dragon, with launch dates and availability varying by market.

The agreement also includes Will Trent, although the companies did not provide further details on its Netflix availability in the announcement.

Reuters reported that the deal comes as Netflix expands its library through licensing agreements. The platform also struck a deal with AMC Global Media in July to bring The Walking Dead series to Netflix.

Despite the new agreement, Disney-branded titles will largely remain exclusive to Disney’s own streaming platforms and television channels.
