RapidKL has stepped up coordination of its shuttle bus services to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) after receiving complaints from passengers about inadequate services on Friday.
In a statement released today, RapidKL said its shuttle buses had operated according to the arrangements agreed with the event organiser. However, following passenger feedback, it worked with SIC and relevant agencies to improve the designated pick-up and drop-off points.
The changes took effect on Saturday, with RapidKL reporting that traffic and passenger movement were smooth and under control as of 11 am.
The operator said it would continue monitoring the situation with SIC and other agencies throughout the event to ensure passenger movements remain orderly.
RapidKL also clarified that its responsibilities cover the operation and movement of buses and passengers, while overall traffic coordination to and from SIC, including vehicle flow at pick-up and drop-off areas, is managed jointly with the event organiser and relevant agencies.
The shuttle bus service is operating throughout the Formula 1 event, which runs from Oct 2 to 4.
