The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning covering several states, with heavy rain and strong winds expected until 5 pm on Sunday.
The warning, issued at 2:50 pm, covers parts of Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Johor.
In Selangor, the affected areas are Hulu Langat, Gombak, Hulu Selangor and Sepang. In Johor, the warning covers Kota Tinggi, Kluang, Segamat, Batu Pahat and Kulai.
Several areas in the east coast states are also affected, including Jeli and Tanah Merah in Kelantan, multiple districts in Terengganu, and Rompin, Pekan, Cameron Highlands, Bera, Lipis and Bentong in Pahang.
The warning also covers several districts in Sarawak and Sabah, including Kuching, Serian, Bintulu, Sibu, Miri, Sandakan, Ranau, Tambunan, Tenom and Tawau.
