Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected across parts of Sabah and W.P. Labuan until noon today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
The warning, issued at 9 am on Monday, covers several areas in Sabah’s West Coast, Interior and Kudat divisions.
In the West Coast, affected areas include Kota Belud, Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu, Putatan, Papar and Penampang.
The warning also covers Membakut, Beaufort and Kuala Penyu in the Interior, as well as Kudat in the Kudat division.
W.P. Labuan is also under the thunderstorm warning until noon.
The department advised that thunderstorms may be accompanied by heavy rainfall and strong winds during the warning period.
