Johor Logs Eight Unhealthy API Readings This Evening

Johor recorded eight unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 6:22 pm today, accounting for more than half of the 14 monitoring stations nationwide in the unhealthy category, according to the Department of Environment’s Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS).

The highest reading was recorded at Larkin, Johor, at 161, followed by Batu Pahat at 159, Pasir Gudang at 158 and Kluang at 156.

Other Johor stations recording unhealthy readings were Segamat at 152, Tangkak at 124 and Kota Tinggi at 106.

Outside Johor, Cheras in Kuala Lumpur recorded an API of 155, while Nilai, Negeri Sembilan registered 153 and Putrajaya 152.

IPD Serian in Sarawak also recorded an API of 152, while Bukit Rambai in Melaka registered 120. Johan Setia in Selangor recorded 118 and Kuching, Sarawak, 107.

The APIMS dashboard showed 14 of 68 monitoring stations in the unhealthy category, defined as API readings between 101 and 200. A further 52 stations were classified as moderate and two as good.
