Kelington Group Bhd has secured an additional RM133 million contract for an advanced data storage manufacturing facility in Kuching, Sarawak, lifting its total awards from the same customer for the project to about RM416 million.
The contract, awarded to wholly-owned subsidiary Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd, covers major structural steel works at the facility located in the Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone.
Works are expected to commence immediately and are scheduled for completion by April 2028.
The latest award follows a RM172 million contract secured from the same customer on Sept 29, 2026. Prior to the new contract, Kelington had already secured contracts and purchase orders worth about RM283 million for the project.
Chief Executive Officer Lim Seng Chuan said the successive awards reflected the customer’s confidence in Kelington’s execution capabilities and its ability to undertake multiple work scopes within a large-scale facility development.
He said the group expects further work packages to be awarded as the project progresses and remains optimistic about securing additional scopes.
Kelington secured RM1.23 billion in new contracts for the six months ended June 30, 2026.
Including subsequent wins and the latest RM133 million award, the group’s year-to-date contract wins have risen to RM3.91 billion, strengthening its order book and earnings visibility over the coming years.
