Nike Revives Its Moon Shoe With LISA

Nike is bringing back one of its earliest sneaker designs, with BLACKPINK’s LISA fronting the latest campaign for the Nike Moon Shoe.

Nike first prototyped the Moon Shoe in 1971 as a track shoe. It features Nike’s early waffle sole, a traction design developed by co-founder Bill Bowerman.

More than 50 years later, Nike is bringing the silhouette into its lifestyle range. The new version keeps the low-profile shape and waffle sole of the original, while its styling is aimed at everyday wear.

LISA appears in the campaign wearing the Moon Shoe in red with a matching colour-blocked outfit. The campaign focuses on the sneaker’s slim shape and exposed sole.

Hypebae reported that the campaign also uses “Mister Magic Moon,” a 1964 song by The Kim Sisters with Joe Tanner’s Orchestra, as its soundtrack. The group was among the earliest Korean musical acts to gain international recognition.

The Moon Shoe has also appeared in recent collaborations, including releases with Jacquemus earlier this year. Nike’s latest campaign puts the original design back in focus through LISA, linking one of the brand’s earliest running shoes with its current lifestyle offerings.

The Nike Moon Shoe launched globally on October 1, 2026.
