Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) and Nestlé (M) Bhd led Bursa Malaysia’s gainers, while Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd topped the losers as market breadth remained positive with 667 gainers against 456 decliners.
MPI surged RM1.56 to RM44.96, making it the session’s top gainer, while Nestlé climbed RM1.26 to RM91.26.
Pentamaster Corp Bhd jumped 64 sen to RM6.08, followed by Mi Technovation Bhd, which advanced 59 sen to RM6.00. Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd gained 46 sen to RM21.32.
On the other hand, Dutch Lady fell 30 sen to RM29.70, while Allianz Malaysia Bhd declined 18 sen to RM20.62.
TIME dotCom Bhd slipped 16 sen to RM5.45, while Ayer Holdings Bhd and Mega First Corp Bhd each lost 15 sen, closing at RM7.55 and RM2.85, respectively.
Despite the declines, overall market sentiment remained positive, with 667 gainers outnumbering 456 losers. Another 551 counters were unchanged, 1,108 untraded and 13 suspended.
Turnover eased to 4.18 billion units valued at RM2.95 billion compared to 4.78 billion units worth RM2.89 billion in the previous session.
