The Social Security Organisation (Socso) cut the average processing time for contributor benefit claims to 2.7 days in 2025 from 5.3 days a year earlier, as part of efforts to improve service delivery.
Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan said the shorter processing period applies to applications under the Employment Injury Scheme, Self-Employment Social Security Scheme and Housewives’ Social Security Scheme.
The initial response time for complaints was also reduced to one day in 2025 from three days in 2024.
